LOOK YOUR BEST, AND FEEL GREAT DOING SO!!!

On December 7th, 2008, our Esthetician Laura Stowe will be participating in what will be the first annual “Penguin Dip” at the American Legion Post 40 on Federal Furnace Road in Plymouth. Ms. Stowe, along with hopefully many other “dippers,” will be plunging into the frigid waters of Little West Pond to raise money for The Nathan Hale Foundation.

The Nathan Hale Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) Veterans Outreach Center here in Plymouth. The mission of the foundation is to assist the Troops and their families who face a myriad of personal, professional, or financial hardships. One of the services they provide is FREE transportation to VA Hospitals and Clinics to local Veterans in need of medical care who otherwise don’t have the means to get there themselves. The foundation depends on grants and the generosity of businesses, organizations and individuals in order to remain in service to our deserving Veterans.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

During the month of November Laura will NOT be accepting gratuities from her clients for services rendered. Instead, there will be a Penguin Dip pledge form for you to fill out at the receptionist’s desk, and she asks that you convert what you would normally tip into a tax exempt donation. Checks are to be made payable to the American Legion Penguin Dip.

Coming from a family with a lengthy military and civil service lineage, and as an active Officer in the American Legion Auxiliary, Laura is very dedicated to honoring the contributions of America’s Veterans. Her personal goal, with your help, is to raise $1,000.00 for the Nathan Hale Foundation.

Laura grew up in Plymouth and has been an Esthetician at Susan Perry Skin Care for five years. Some of the services she offers are waxing, make-up consultation, and special occasion application. She also specializes in facials for mature skin types and has a particular interest in researching ways to stimulate collagen production and encouraging antioxidant activity in the skin. She believes that slowing down signs of aging not only involves selecting good skin products that suit the individual, but also emphasizes how the dynamics of nutrition, exercise, stress, and environmental factors can impact the aging process.

Call Susan Perry Skin Care to book your appointment with Laura in November, look fantastic during Thanksgiving, and feel great knowing you have contributed to an amazing local charity!
